What personal information we collect and why

To enter the competition we collect your name, email, phone number and geographical region. If the competition prize needs to be posted, we will also collect your address.

We will use your information to confirm your eligibility to enter any competition on the website, to process your entry, select and notify winners and assign prizes. . 

If judgement-based evaluation of entries - We (and in some cases the Brand Partner) will evaluate your entry against the criteria referred to in the competition terms and conditions to decide the winner of the prizes. As far as possible, we will not provide any personal information to the Brand partner for them to judge the entries.

If you are a winner, we (and in some cases the Brand Partner where necessary) will use your email address,  phone number and competition entry to notify you and assign your prize. 

If you are a winner, we will publish your first name and your geographical region. 

If you are a winner, and you consent, your name, an overview of your idea and the supporting image may be published on the ratemyplacement.co.uk and Brand Partner’s Instagram and Facebook pages and other publicity or promotional material. We and the Brand Partner may with your consent also include you in other publicity or promotional material. 

Retention

We will retain your entry into any prize competition on the website for a period of 12 months from the closing date of the competition. If you request us to create a ratemyplacement.co.uk account, we will retain any information you provide in line with the privacy notice [at4] for ratemyplacement.co.uk.

All data will be stored in the UK.
